Excellent location. Shreemoyee Inn is adjacent to Maa Kamakhya temple and two minutes walkable distance. Rooms are equipped with all facilities including a mini fridge. The owner Mr Ratulda Sharma and his wife take care of guests like a family. The girl at the reception is very hospitable and welcoming. Staffs are very polite and helpful. They have arrangements for transportation also. From vip parking area taxis are available all the time. We reap the benefits of the location as we can have early morning access to the temple in two minutes. This is an amazing place to stay when you are coming for darshan at Kamakhya Temple.

They provide good quality and shower gel, shampoo and soap in the bathroom. Rooms are clean and hotel is good for visiting the temple. You can easily get taxi from hotel to anywhere at reasonable price and they arrange taxi at all hours to go to airport or railway station. I will recommend the hotel if your primary reason for visiting is Maa Kamakhya Temple. 4 stars only because it is too far from everything else.

Lockers in each room where you can store valuable things 13. One key. No one can open the room including the hotel guest service who changes linens. 14. Kettle for making tea or coffee 15. Small refrigerator Cons: 1. A vehicle can’t reach the hotel as its next to temple 2. Luggage has to be carried by someone to and from the hotel to the parking. (Hotel service will take care) Note: I have personally observed and writing this note. I am sorry to say but most of the food is adulterated. But in this hotel restaurant, they prepare everything fresh with all genuine ingredients. From a business standpoint, I would say their restaurant is a failure as they are spending more than what they get. Hotel on the other side gets decent amount. But when I enquired about why they are spending more amount on the restaurant than what they are receiving, I was amazed to hear that they are treating it as a seva in the name of Maa Kamakhya to provide high quality and standard food for a very reasonable price. I was flattered and wished Maa Kamakhya return 10 fold in return for the seva. Approach… read more is about 5 minutes walk crossing narrow lanes & stairs. Our booked room was not kept available for us & instead given a room on 2nd floor after about 90 minutes wait. No welcome gesture or drink offered. Room – size was good but amenities were poor. Sofa dirty. Linen used. Towels small & not fresh. No shaving kit. Soap dispenser empty. Poor lighting. Tv small for room size & screen full of artefacts. No HD channels. Scanty power points. Service – atrocious. We were made fo feel as if they were obliging us. Food also limited & lacking taste.

The cab to Guwahati airport booked via the Shreemoyee Inn hotel (which was 1200INR, if u book from outside it comes to 900INR, check cab from the stand) has been… read more a very horrific experience. It stopped the car 1km far from the airport and informed us that diesel was over and we had to go by ourselves to the airport with temperature of 33degC with little drizzle. We had 2 luggages weighing 28kgs, one 6ltrl camera backpack, one 35ltr camera backpack. We were able to hire a rickshaw that dropped us 500metres far from the airport as rickshaw is not allowed to enter airport. We walked arnd 500metres in the mid of the day arnd 1:30 pm under such heat. On calling the hotel they took the cab driver in conference to discuss the same and now after 10-12 mins the driver says “ok sir I am coming to pick u up”. This shows that the driver on purpose dropped us 1km far from the airport for some unknown reason. Such irresponsible selection of cab drivers by this hotel gave myself and wife a horrific experience. I would beg everyone to avoid using this hotel’s cab service. I can even provide call recording of this incident if anyone needs for proof of my experience.

It’s a place which is very close to the temple so will surely recommend to visit . But there is 1000 things which can be improved .

The vehicle doesn’t go to the gate of the hotel as there are mandir stairs and you can call the hotel reception for receiving you and your luggage at the main road junction.
