    Stayed for one night. Booked months in advance. Booked a super deluxe room at Top floor with good view (costliest). Observation – location is by the side of Kamakhya temple. Approach… read more is about 5 minutes walk crossing narrow lanes & stairs. Our booked room was not kept available for us & instead given a room on 2nd floor after about 90 minutes wait. No welcome gesture or drink offered. Room – size was good but amenities were poor. Sofa dirty. Linen used. Towels small & not fresh. No shaving kit. Soap dispenser empty. Poor lighting. Tv small for room size & screen full of artefacts. No HD channels. Scanty power points. Service – atrocious. We were made fo feel as if they were obliging us. Food also limited & lacking taste.

    I booked two double bed deluxe rooms whose charges were 3136/- per day for each room. I visited in the first week of October. The rooms were too cramped. The… read more bed, almirah and other furniture are so close to each other that it becomes quite difficult to place and open luggage bags. There is a restaurant on the ground floor. Breakfast was complimentary. For breakfast there was Poha, Puri Bhaji, Dosa, Bread, Butter and Jam, Tea and coffee. The food was good. It was a room for 2 but 3 people were allowed to stay. Complimentary breakfast was for 2 people but if 1 extra person is staying, you’ll need to pay 150/- for a complimentary breakfast. The tariffs mentioned may vary as per the season and demand. But mentioning this just for your reference. One suggestion, if you are planning to go for Guwahati Sightseeing you should hire from outside instead of booking through the hotel itself. You can bargain if you are hiring cab from outside. Best part of the hotel is that it is next to the Kamakhya Devi Temple. Also, I felt the charges are too high in comparison to the facility this hotel provides.

If you have a lot of luggage though, it might make more sense to… read more stay closer to the main road, because you’ll have to carry it up a lot of stairs. The rooms themselves are lovely, just ensure to ask for the rooms to be cleaned, otherwise it won’t be done. All eateries around the temple only serve breakfast around 8.30-9am onwards since that’s when the temple crowd gets out. Their lunch thalis are excellent and probably the best choice for lunch in the area if money is not a hindrance. Staff is super kind and helpful. Rooms are clean and neat.

Hotel restaurant food is average and service is very poor. Better to eat at the restaurants outside. Only advantage is location, but for that also there are other options.

The vehicle doesn’t go to the gate of the hotel as there are mandir stairs and you can call the hotel reception for receiving you and your luggage at the main road junction.
