The cab to Guwahati airport booked via the Shreemoyee Inn hotel (which was 1200INR, if u book from outside it comes to 900INR, check cab from the stand) has been… read more a very horrific experience. It stopped the car 1km far from the airport and informed us that diesel was over and we had to go by ourselves to the airport with temperature of 33degC with little drizzle. We had 2 luggages weighing 28kgs, one 6ltrl camera backpack, one 35ltr camera backpack. We were able to hire a rickshaw that dropped us 500metres far from the airport as rickshaw is not allowed to enter airport. We walked arnd 500metres in the mid of the day arnd 1:30 pm under such heat. On calling the hotel they took the cab driver in conference to discuss the same and now after 10-12 mins the driver says “ok sir I am coming to pick u up”. This shows that the driver on purpose dropped us 1km far from the airport for some unknown reason. Such irresponsible selection of cab drivers by this hotel gave myself and wife a horrific experience. I would beg everyone to avoid using this hotel’s cab service. I can even provide call recording of this incident if anyone needs for proof of my experience.

Hotel restaurant food is average and service is very poor. Better to eat at the restaurants outside. Only advantage is location, but for that also there are other options.

Located just walking distance from the Kamakhya Devi Temple makes it a place to stay and get easy access.

The owner Mr Ratulda Sharma and his wife take care of guests like a family. The girl at the reception is very hospitable and welcoming. Staffs are very polite and helpful. They have arrangements for transportation also. From vip parking area taxis are available all the time. We reap the benefits of the location as we can have early morning access to the temple in two minutes. This is an amazing place to stay when you are coming for darshan at Kamakhya Temple.

Secondly, the hotel has very good restaurant attached, in the cellar. Food quality is great, though a bit costly. The rooms are neat and nice. The staff, reception and overall service is excellent. The hotel sent two boys to carry our luggage and one DOLLY to carry our aunty who could not climb the stairs. There are more than one hundred steps to climb, and few hundred meters to walk to reach the Temple as well as hotel – the hotel building is just adjacent to the temple compound. Once you reach hotel, you don’t have to climb not a single steps to reach the temple. Our stay in the Shree Moyee Inn is memorable. We sure want to stay in this hotel only during our next visit and recommend our friends and relatives to choose this hotel only.

I did stay here in 2019 and staff was amazing. Extremely polite and professional. I had luggage and he sent his staff to help. Food was very good. Peaceful environment
